Trip to Boise
So one day after many many many hours of endless searches on the web by my husband for a great deal on a car I finally relented and agreed to a purchase so we made the long trek to Nampa to pick up our new (used) car. We got to enjoy an evening with my Uncle Les & Aunt Dianne -- which I highly recommend to any of my relatives who have yet to make the trip (sorry Dianne maybe you don't really want them :-) hee hee). Anyway here are the picts of our trip... I have to say that on the drive down when we were all together we had a few mini meltdowns so I wasn't looking forward to the LONG drive alone with the kids the next day, but God answered my prayers and 6 hours of driving and not one single teeny tiny even hint of anything close to a meltdown!! Isn't God great!! It was actually even fun... Jackson was a huge help and Jessalyn must have known that momma would lose it if she did (lose it) and so she refrained. Anyway it was a great early start to our Mother's Day weekend.....

The Petersen Post
I put an entry on our extended family blog of the day we all got together at the Flint's to celebrate what we were told was Aunt Shirley's birthday (just a guilt trip to get us all there I think :-) hee hee). It wasn't really her birthday, but we had a great time pretending. If you want to see the photos check them out at the blog here:

Daredevil!
Pause the music on the side and turn up your volume just a little bit....
This video is about 2 minutes long -- I should probably put it on You Tube!! At the beginning he is explaining to his father that his brain told him to do this. I can see it now ---- his teenage years are going to be full of broken bones and crazy stunts. AY YI YI....this boy!! :-)

A Heavy Heart
I didn't know her except through my cousin Tyffany, but the tragic death of Erika Coffey in a car accident has given me a heavy heart. One glance at her blog and you know that she was a wife, a mother, a woman who loved God, and just so much like every other mom I know...so much like me! She leaves behind an almost 3 year old boy and an 8 month old boy which breaks my heart. I pray that those children will know who their mother was and how much she loved them. I hope you will join me in lifting up prayers for her precious little family as they figure out how to navigate life without her.
Father it is impossible to know what this family is going through. I ask you to surround them with Your presence in ways they could never have imagined before this tragedy. Comfort her husband and children long past the days when it will fade from everyone else's mind and they are still hurting from this loss. I know I am not alone when I ask you God to give me strength to trust you most when I least understand.
