I didn't know her except through my cousin Tyffany, but the tragic death of Erika Coffey in a car accident has given me a heavy heart. One glance at her blog and you know that she was a wife, a mother, a woman who loved God, and just so much like every other mom I know...so much like me! She leaves behind an almost 3 year old boy and an 8 month old boy which breaks my heart. I pray that those children will know who their mother was and how much she loved them. I hope you will join me in lifting up prayers for her precious little family as they figure out how to navigate life without her.
Father it is impossible to know what this family is going through. I ask you to surround them with Your presence in ways they could never have imagined before this tragedy. Comfort her husband and children long past the days when it will fade from everyone else's mind and they are still hurting from this loss. I know I am not alone when I ask you God to give me strength to trust you most when I least understand.

Jack's 4th birthday
We celebrated....yet again at -- who can guess??? Of course none other than the fabulous Chuck E. Cheese. Since we were in Seattle for Fanfest and Saunders' wedding we decided to do it at the Bellevue one which has now been deemed by my child and childlike husband as "the best one we've been to so far!!" Don't even ask how many we've been to and in how many different states..it's embarrassing!! We had some friends and family (who were in town for the same wedding) join us and I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed themselves. We were thankful for everyone who was able to come and for all the fun things they blessed Jack with -- he is one lucky boy.

Saunders' Wedding
Jason's friend Chris got married in a beautiful ceremony and it was really fun for Jason to see a lot of friend's that he hasn't seen for a very long time. Our kids had a blast dancing -- even when they were the only 2 out on the dance floor, and YES that is my son in the front row when they toss the garter! My little darling was so cute in a dress that my friend Carmen got her and despite her nasty bruise on the forehead she got lots of compliments. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Birthday
The day we went to Fanfest was Jane's birthday. After Safeco we had a nice lunch at Pyramid Brewery and then back to Chris and Angela's apartment for custard cake (it's a midwest thing that is finally making it's way out here!) for Jane and also for Chris' dad Ken who had a birthday earlier in the week!

FANFEST 2009
A trip to Build a Bear
Chris, Ang, and Silas treated Jackson to a new buddy from Build a Bear for his birthday so when we went to Seattle the boys and their little tag along (Jess) tore it up at the store building and washing and picking out superhero outfits for their buds. I had to include the photo of the bear in his costume along with Jack in his Spiderman outfit that Jane made him!!
Tears of Love and Loss
~I will sing when the shadows fall for in time I know the sun will shine again~
We watched the video of our wedding for our anniversary and it was all I could do not to cry my eyes out as my dear grandpa Harold sitting in the front row with grandma Carol was in the frame for much of the ceremony. I am so thankful that he lived to see me get married and although there is sadness over him not meeting my children on earth I know that one day in heaven we will all be together again!!
