The joy of kids

Be sure to pause the music so you can hear the conversation and Jessa's giggles!!

Me "What are you doing?"

Jack "I'm scrubbing her up so her won't be dirty anymore."

Dino babies

We thought this was so funny -- When Jackson was a baby he was given these cute dino pj's from our friends the Syrie's and the awesome Fries family loans us TJ's clothes and there was a pair of the same jammies in Jackson's current size -- when Jack realized this he wanted both of them to wear these all the time!!!

Bumps and Bruises

My kids both have their share of bumps and bruises since as soon as they get mobile their independent streak comes out and they push against any boundaries. Here she is looking pretty in her dress from my friend Carmen, but I don't think the forehead bruise matches.

Loads of Fun

Messy Boy

Oh the things that go on when I'm not around!! :-) Jack enjoying his apple dippers from McDonald's. Didn't anyone teach this kid table manners? Doubtful!!

Messy Girl

First Gerber Biter Biscuit.... messy, but fun!!!

Sunday Sunday

Every Sunday morning when they are both cleaned up, hair combed, etc. I tend to make us almost late for church with my need for a photo shoot, but oh isn't it worth it!!

Playmates

Everytime I turn around it seems that Jack is doing something that startles me and thrills my daughter. One morning I walked into the above scene where he had put her on the chair all by himself at the little table. (Keep in mind she was only about 8 months old in this picture). She loves it though and keeps coming back for more!! He enjoyed rolling her around in his dumptruck and every morning after I get her out of her crib he says "Mom -- can I just have her for a little bit?" The cuddling in their pj's picture is just one of those mornings. I thank God so much for all these little moments and I hope that He will sear them in my memory for years and years to come!!

Waterpark Fun!!!!

Yes I know I'm behind -- just now posting pictures from August, but I'm doing a little here and there until I catch up. Our aquatic center is lots of fun and they added a wave pool and a lazy river this year. Jason enjoyed time on the body boards and even attempted a little surfing. I am not into public humiliation so I stuck to the lazy river rides with Jack!!

Feeding Dancer

The kids both love to see the horse at my parent's house. When my mom gave us carrots from her garden Jackson kept saying -- these are Dancer's carrots. He was so bummed that I would bring them home for us and the horse wouldn't get to have them. :-)

cousins sleepover

In August before school started we had Brooke & Bailey spend the night so the kids could play together. Here they are getting their living room campout set up for the night.

Sunny

For those of you who have seen Lemony Snickets..a series of unfortunate events you would be familiar with the youngest girl Sunny. In the movie she bites everything and in one scene is shown dangling from the dining room table by only her teeth embedded in the table. We had watched it and weeks later I caught my daughter as she was doing this and Jack and I called her "Sunny" for days!! :-)

Read Daily

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
— Marianne Williamson

I am putting this on my kid's wall so they grow up convinced of this truth!!
